Well, hello everyone. It's been a long 4 years and like I said in my intro thread it feels kind of surreal to be back. Enough about how I feel though, let's get to the important stuff!! PvM Mystery Boxes I think these were a great addition to the server when released. Unfortunately, with the eco reset they were just completely imbalanced. They have basically been nerfed, but I'll post a thread showing the new loot available separately. A brief summary would be: Nex items removed, GWD items removed, some items adjusted into different tiers of rarity. Coffers Big changes to coffers. Skilling coffers have had all of their available rewards adjusted, removing anything that existed in the Grand Exchange. The remaining items in Skilling Coffers have had their quantities increased. The Rune Pouch is also available from this coffer now too! Low coffers have been adjusted, removing a lot of the junk filler items and the best part about low coffers? They are now FREE to open!! Medium, High and Legendary coffers have had a lot of their junk rewards removed as well as exclusive items to each box being added. Meaning you will have to decide which coffer to open depending on what items you want to try and receive! A full drop log will be posted soon for coffer changes. Oh and the final change - Ironmen can no longer open coffers of any tier. An ironman exclusive coffer will be introduced soon! Donator changes Next up are changes to Donators. Well, not so much changes as re-enabling some features. The Donator Zone is now open again to all donators. We decided that with the current removal of ::bank that this area does not become an issue anymore. Type ::dz to get there! The Donator Options menu has also been re-enabled, allowing you to set yell titles, remove your donator icon and set a title too! Miscellaneous changes Fixed a broken animation for all 3 Strykewyrms. All 3 Strykewyrms have had their dig attack chance drastically lowered. No more b2b2b digs! Squeal of Fortune has had lucky items removed for the time being. You will no longer receive Hill Giants as a Slayer Task when getting your first task on a fresh account. Lowered Medium Slayer Task amounts from 35-85 to 35-75. Lowered Hard Slayer Task amonts from 55-115 to 30-60. Increased Boss Slayer Task amounts from 5-20 to 5-25. Reduced the total waiting time at the end of a Dungeoneering floor to 5 seconds. Added a teleport directly south of the entrance to the Edimmu Resource Dungeon (::edimmu). Added a teleport directly next to the entrance to the Hydrophix Dragon Resource Dungeon (::hydro). Removed the Ironman Shop NPC from the shop building at home as he didn't do anything. Dragon Pickaxe added to KBD collection log. Statius' Warhammer added to the Chaos Elemental collection log. Imbued Heart, Totem pieces, Eternal Gem and Void Essence added to the Slayer collection log. Aura Vendor added back to home. Goblin Musician removed from home. Adjusted the sell value of a ton of items to be more in line with a fresh economy (this may cause items lost on death issues, please report any issues found on Discord. Thanks.) You will no longer crush gems when crafting uncut gems into cut gems. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone involved in making this possible. Hello, It's been a while hasn't it. Sorry about that.. life's been busy. But I'm back with another update that includes.. new content!! Scorpius, Mage of the Occult! Meet Scorpius, the newest Boss monster to be added to Ely! Scorpius is our own version of Thermonuclear Smoke Devils, as we're having issues dumping animations and gfx from the OSRS cache. He behaves very similarly to the identical NPC on OSRS, with a couple of changes to fit Ely. EDIT: I should probably tell you how to get to the new boss. LOL. ::tele occult The boss requires 93 Slayer to attack, and also requires an Amulet of Ghostspeak or Amulet of Ghostbusting in order for you to hit the NPC. The Amulet of Ghostspeak is available from the Slayer Shop (GP) for a hefty one-time price. You may be able to combine this with something in order to create the Amulet of Ghostbusting, which will be an upgraded version of the Ghostspeak Amulet with stats comparable to an Amulet of Fury! One of the key drops to look out for is of course the Occult Necklace, which takes the place as Ely's current best-in-slot Magic Necklace! The first image shows the stats of the Arcane Stream Necklace (previous BIS) and the second image shows the stats of the Occult Necklace. There's also a new pet to hunt, a miniature version of Scorpius himself. Donation Store In order to ensure we raise funds to pay the monthly server costs, I'm opting to add Cosmetic-only items back to the Donator Store. These items will be available on a monthly-rotational basis and when they're gone, they will become discontinued! The items I've chosen for the month of March are shown below: I'm forever thankful to anyone who spends a penny here, despite my slow updates and small playerbase. As long as we can pay server costs monthly I'm content Raids This was never addressed properly, but raids are now in a completable state. The Olm fight has been drastically nerfed and the points you gain across a raid end up in you having somewhere between a 1 in 7 and 1 in 10 chance of receiving a purple. Castle Wars As part of an ongoing project to rework minigames, you can now start a game of Castle Wars with just 1 player on each team! Boost away!! (because honestly people just boost on main game anyway so like who cares?). Crystal/Dragon Pickaxe special attacks The Special Attack for both Pickaxes has been added, allowing you to boost your mining skill for 100% special usage. Boosting your mining skill increases the speed at which you mine ore. Superior Slayer Creatures Superior Slayer Creatures have received a couple of changes today. The first being the rate of which they spawn has been lowered to 1/50 from 1/100. Hopefully players will start to see more of these creatures. Finally, there were 5 or 6 broken Superiors.. these have been fixed and the full list of NPCs that Superiors can spawn from is below: Other QOL Changes The Ranged Tokhat-Kal cape now correctly works as an Ava's Accululator. The rate at which Ivy depletes has been increased so you can spend more time chopping. The Graetorian Recurve Bow has received significant buffs, putting it above the Blowpipe in terms of power in most scenarios. The issue with Ram being stuck when summoned has been fixed. Deviant Spectres will now count towards Aberrant Spectre tasks. The fangs of Venenatis and Voidwaker Gem have been added to the drop table of Venenatis, in preparation for a future update. Nex's drop rates have been marginally adjusted, making the items easier in return for just giving up fixing the issues her minions and phasing pose. Ragefire Boots and Glaiven boots have been buffed so that they outclass their lower-tiered counterparts (Ranger Boots and Boots of Subjugation). Issues with the Forinthry Bracelet's functionality have been fixed. The amount of Vote Points required to trigger a Vote Party has been lowered from 100 to 50. The Well of Goodwill now requires 100m for Tier 1, 250m for Tier 2 and 500m for Tier 3. As we're still a fresh economy this feels fairer than previous values. With the changes to VP and Well, staff will likely reserve triggering these for events. Fixed the incorrect Abyssal Dagger being in the Slayer Collection Log. Added a small quantity of Flax to the Skilling Store. Again, sorry the next update has taken so long. Skilling Pet Rates: Our skilling pet rates were at or even beyond what OSRS is using, which in the long term for an Ely account doesn’t make much sense because of our increased XP rates, we end up doing drastically fewer actions that could obtain a pet than your average OSRS account. We looked at each skill individually and buffed rates at all levels and gave an additional bonus at 200M XP which was not present before. Misc Updates/Changes. ‣ Replaced bank booths in Citadel to be chests that work from any direction. ‣ Updated DZ to cater to more skills. ‣ Added some noted variants to items we didn't have previously (coffers + few potions). ‣ Added Looting Bag value to !wealth command in Discord. ‣ Increased base gravestone timer to 30 minutes. Wow, only two weeks since the last update. What's going on??? New Superior Slayer Monsters! As part of an ongoing Slayer rework, three new Superior Slayer Monsters make their way into Ely today! First up is the Lavafiend, a Superior version of the Waterfiend. Secondly is the Weathered Dragon, a rusted Superior version of Metal Dragons (Bronze, Iron, Steel). Finally is the Chaos Giant, a Superior version of the Fire Giant. I'll leave his visuals a surprise! Donator Scrolls Donator Scrolls have made their way back to the Donator Shop. You can now trade and sell Scrolls and EP to other players for in-game wealth! Voting Shop I've made a few changes to the Donator Shop. The Robin Hood Hats have been removed.. very undesirable. I'll add them to Clues or something. New items include the Trimmed version of the Ely Cape (with particle effect!), the Vyrewatch Longsword (a cosmetic longsword that looks pretty cool) and the Volcanite Elder Rune Override Gear! This armour set will take a long time to achieve and can be used with Torva items to gain their stats!!! Other QOL changes A few custom items have been fixed for their respective owners. The Tormented Bracelet has been buffed to outclass Spellcaster Gloves. Fixed the noted High Tier Coffer drop from Scorpius. If any Irons received I'm happy to swap for Iron Coffers. Ironman Donator Benefits SHOULD (big emphasis on should) be fixed. If not back to the drawing board. Added a 100% chance to receive Medium Clue Scrolls to Soulgazers. Added Iron and Legendary Coffers to Glacors. You can now upgrade the Abyssal Dagger to P, P+ and P++. You can now eat cheese. As per Wheelchair's request, Will is banned for 2 minutes post-update. Sorry Will.

Hello, me again! Mostly QOL and Bug fixes this time around. So we've finally settled on a good place for coffers to be in. All coffers besides Legendary are now free to open! Legendary have been majorly buffed to be worthwhile to open too and have a lot of exclusive items to chase inside! The great thing about Coffers is we can adjust them and add new items as and when we need. If you have any item ideas for free coffers feel free to suggest them! Black Warlocks no longer require you to be a Donator to hunt them. Added Zulrah Scales and Teleports to the Collection Log. Added around 30 other Miscellaneous items to the Slayer collection log. Boss Slayer Task quantity has been reduced back down to 5-15 from 5-25. Referral rewards are removed for the time being. Improved the pickpocket success rate at Trader. The amount of Armadyl Dust gained from grinding Armadyl Runes has been doubled. The amount of Armadyl Runes received as a drop from Glacors has been increased. Removed the duplicate Crystal Tool Seed announcement when received as a drop. Removed Spirit Seeds and Crystal Tool Seed from Zulrah's drop table. Added Obsidian Charms to the Tokkul shop. Reduced the attack speed of Kraken and Kraken's Tentacles. Added Dragon Dart Tips to Skotizo's drop table. Buffed the Dragon Crossbow to be as strong as the Chaotic Crossbow. Added a teleport to Chaos Dwarf Handcannoneers (::chaos_hand). Fixed the incorrect drop of Dragon Arrowtips at Tormented Demons. Made some adjustments to gravestones to hopefully make them last longer. There may be a couple of other things I forgot, unsure. Enjoy!

Let me start off by saying the only reason I logged into this server for the first time was because I lost a bet to a 3 headed alligator in the swamps of Detriot, Michigan. But losing that game of strip scrabble was the best thing that even happened to me, because it lead me to the 9 collective braincells that the community shared on this server. We shared laughs and pixels in autistic displays of friendship, the sound of racial slurs faintly heard through the crisp edgeville air, and players who had overwhelming amounts of ingame gold but never knew the touch of a woman. Every adventure a rollercoaster of laughter and fun accompanied by the most vile things you've ever read. Even after the ely grind ended for some, they still log in for the community. I will remember you all, and also what kari did to that mutadile on April 15th, 2022. You can come visit me botting the gem stall in world 319 until the server shuts down for good Go gophers, and goodnight ely.

Finally, another series that I can look forward to seeing the progress of at 2am when I should be sleeping EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT THAT LATE MOM LEAVE ME ALONE. I stood at the edgeville spawn point absolutely going to town on a 40 pack of pepperoni pizza rolls waiting for the arrival of the chunkman himself. When he logged in I had just finished off my 8th can of code red mtn dew and accidentally kicked over my piss bucket in excitement. The last time I felt this alive was when I stuck a fork into a wall socket. Super excited to see number go up and more box unlock

Buyable pest control pet, like dung. Maybe one of the monsters in it or something, maybe a Shifter. Useful for killing some pest control points. Adds more reason to do pest control. That's it, that's the whole suggestion.

Hello update number 3 is here hope you enjoy! Coffers (AGAIN??) More coffer changes in this update! Drop rates have been reduced across the board for Bosses so you'll be seeing them a lot more frequently now. We now also finally have a coffer for Ironmen! The drop table is a combination of the Skiller's Coffer and the Legendary Coffer with appropriate adjustments made for Ironman mode. Currently, Iron Coffers will be received as drops for non-iron accounts. Non-iron coffers will also be received as a drop for Ironmen. We are currently working on a fix for this, hoping to be out this week. Dungeoneering A few small quality of life changes for Dungeoneering. Firstly, a Healer has been added to the spawn room - no longer will you run out of Run Energy mid dungeon! Secondly, all players will now spawn with a Group Gatestone. The last Group Gatestone placed is the one that gets teleported to when using the spell or portal in the spawn room. Thirdly, the Party Leader now spawns with 1 of every potion required for skill room boosts. Last but not least, Forlon Items received at the end of a dungeon now drop with a rate of 1/100 compared to 1/500. Finally, burn rates have been drastically lowered, a complexity 6 requirement added to the Forlorn item drops and the amount of items you can bind while Dungeoneering has been doubled at all level requirements. Forlorn Weaponry Returns! We have re-added the ability to make Forlorn Primal weaponry in this update! You need to purchase a Forlorn Shard from the PvM Rewards Shop and use it on either Chaotic Rapier, Chaotic Maul or Chaotic Longsword! Imbued Heart We have added full functionality to the Imbued Heart. Check out the GIF below!! Charming Imp The Charming Imp has found its way to Ely. Players with enough Tokkul will be able to purchase this item from Tzhaar-Hur-Tel near the Fight Caves. This item will equip in the Aura slot, saving you an inventory space!! Fixed an issue with Sea Turtle XP (thanks Rahamies). As the sun sets, Borkini returns home for the fall. Vials will now be smashed just like flasks when fully consuming a potion. High Tier Coffer removed from server announcements. A few items added to server announcements. Magic potion now correctly gives a boost to your Magic instead of Defence. Skilling Pet XP rates have been increased for all activities. Added a bunch of Miscellaneous messages to the Game Filter. The Draconic Lance now correctly works at Corporeal Beast. Blink's HP has been reduced from 20,000 to 10,000. Skilling Coffers have been removed from monsters. Examine prices of items have been adjusted. Hello All, Cl Fp was my last snowflake account. It was a lot of fun, but got a little old with restarting all the time. So I thought to myself, what is another idea I can steal from a youtuber to make the game ultimately harder and more miserable? So let me introduce you to my new account- Chunker. I am stealing this one from Limpwurt, it is a chunk locked ironman. Meaning I need to complete "everything" in a chunk before I can move to the next. I will be starting in Edgeville and progressing around the map until I get to something that makes me quit probably. I am using the OSRS version of chunk picker because obviously we don't have one. See here for what I currently have unlocked: https://source-chunk.github.io/chunk-picker-v2/?kfsm Rules: Follow everything on the chunk picker that I can do I will NOT be doing any of the "custom" content ie not in osrs. For example, the summoning cape is not in edgeville, so I do not need to get that until I get to taverly where it "actually" is. No rerolls. I went with a default account because I want it to be hard to accomplish some things without spending months of doing it. I will be going for all drops that are my new bis, completed collection logs for bosses, anything new from shops, any NEW skilling item I can get. Thing's may change or they may not, the account might also die after a day, but I will update it here regardless lol It has been enjoyable if not a little cumbersome so far. I am excited to see where I get.

Hello Everyone, With the announcement yesterday that Ely will be shutting down at the end of February, I thought I would make a quick or not so quick post remembering some of the best times that I have had on Ely as well as some of the people that I think went woefully unappreciated so I wanted to thank them individually. First off, I have been playing Matt servers for over the past decade and this is now the second one that I have been able to sink (haha) with the ship on the staff team. I think I might be the problem, but I digress. With that, @Matt your coding is some of the best work in any RSPS. I hope life is treating you well and getting away from the RSPS scene has worked out well. @Lation, it has been an honor shit posting and memeing for the past 6 years. Thank you for hosting a server that has allowed so many people to come together from all over the world and form our own little *special* community. Some of the people I have met on this server and Zarpor are some that I hope will continue to be friends with forever. @Xenith, your work on the server was incredible. Every little change made things feel fresh and new again. The server would have died way before this month if you did not step in and make some of the best changes that we ever had on the server. Thank you. love you kisses With Xenith, comes his two little minions who also created some wonderful things and were the glue to the community for the longest time. @Iso and @fm das. Your guys work went a little less in the limelight than Mr Marios, but it was nevertheless appreciated immensely by those that were playing. I wish some of the things you guys created would have seen the light of day, but it is what it is. @Kari, this server never gets to where it is without you in my honest opinion. The best staff member to do it. Just like Lation said, even sticking around as long as you have is wonderful. @Tycho and Josh, you guys are irrelevant on ely, but you still my day 1's love u Everyone else listed here have just done a lot for the server and are sick @nelly @Sonofares Pk @Gravity@declann99 ur a rat. I am writing this at work lol so definitely missing people that are deserving, but I love you all. Except Kyle Anyways, that is my sappy thank you's. Now for some of my favorite things. First and foremost, Ely has some of my favorite Runescape memories. Especially Cl Fp. I am not sure I ever had as much fun playing RS as I did playing that account. The dopamine rush of a drop followed immediately by the looming fp was so much fun. If you want to relive the adventure. The other account that was an absolute blast was Chunker. Following some of the RS youtuber trends lol. This was fun too. This one died out quicker, but was a blast. I also comped when no one thought I would, so get fucked idiots And the last things that I am proud of here is the Secret Santas. I think we had them running 3 or 4 years and they were so much fun everytime. I love giving stupid gifts so this was perfect. My gift to goofball @Iso was probably my favorite Lukes was pretty solid too though Anyways. It has been a fun half decade or so. Ely was great and it will be missed. I work for a largely popular ISP company in our Underground sector as a Sr. Administrative Coordinator - we were sent home during the start of COVID and I was never called back to the office thankfully. A few months ago I also went and started doing some back-end stuff for one of our sister companies, just part time work though - and a main contributor towards my recent absence
