Dungeoneering/primals

So after a huge debate on discord there were many ideas said, the main one that most people said was having dungeoneering being the way to get primal weapons in game. I got rid of the other post since this has a better approach to it.

The ideas:

  • After level 99 there would be a chance to obtain primal weapons after every boss or floor.
  • The primals from dung would be untradable
  • They would degrade over time/on death like chaotic and would require being repaired using dung tokens/gp
  • Adding primal repair tokens to the crystal chest

What happens to current primal? Obsolete? Keep the ones currently in game tradable along with untradeables or trade in tradable primals to staff for up to date untradeable version- kind of like the serp helmet addition. 

Why risk a primal when the  ones from dung are kept on death? Prices of primals could crumble? Would there be any benefits or downsides to either options to balance out both?

Keep primals in summer shop and in some boxes or would this be squashed if untradeables added?

What are the odds of getting an untrafeBlr primal? Very rare? 

Great  concept of incorporating primals while making the dung grind worthwhile

Are those primals from dungeoneering the same as normal but can degrade and needs to be recharged? If so i dont see the point of adding it. Seems like a good idea for iron man only since they can 't obtain primals atm.
Maby instead of keeping primals trade able and add these you could also make all primals untrable feels like this could only work if all primals ingame get these update, and all act like chaotics do atm

All some good points, we would for sure need to discuss this a lot more. But for now, I think we would like to see what the community thinks.

Everyone feel free to suggest alternative ideas, or add to this suggestion. I would love to see what everyone thinks.

We could make all primals like this.

Can you repair them thru the dung shop NPC? Say 10-30M or whatever the cost may be?

they would be the exact same stats and it would recharge the same as a chaotic wep

Complete kick in the teeth for anyone who has ever spent a penny on the current version of primal weaponry and armours. No support from me.

Now that I think about it that way, I don't support this decision, Idk what Fiery primals do, or how any of those work but I feel like now they need re-done or something.

only difference between fiery and regular is cosmetic. both are the same stats

Feel littel same about it. If they keep untradeable and are very rare i can support it even i dont like it so much.

Just thinking why not add promethium instead, its pretty new and price havent set well on this item. It will be anyways upgrade from chaotoc

I don’t get why it’s a kick in the teeth for donators, being a big donator myself I couldn’t give two shits about it. Donating for something to get ingame is the easy way and that’s the price for it it, let the People that want to grind for items that SHOULD be obtainable ingame as boats said.

the game shouldn’t be based on donators either, really it should be based off a normal player and what they can do to get to the end game. Donating is just a way of supporting the server for some goodies and perks, not what they want and what’s best for them every time.

It's not like people who donated for Primal in the past lose their weapons. This armor is even suggested to degrade, and the paid version doesn't. As a donor I don't see any issue with this. I can't believe anyone here is opposing a change to Dungeoneering when it's one of the most monotonous skills in-game at the moment.

Should add prom instead. And its kick for teeth you donated primals in first place because you werent aply to get from grind. Its same as you cant get donor status by grinding only if you donate. Same thing

Promethium is already in-game (obviously donator exclusive as well) and still leaves a tier of BIS gear unreachable then. Whilst there was never an option in the past for those who donated for them to have the potential of grinding, Primals have been in-game long enough for those who spent the money to take full advantage of them (use, sell, hoard etc).

If an item isn't obtainable in-game and is exclusively locked behind a paywall, Ely becomes a complete P2W server. As the options offer; if you want to donate for them and save a grind, go ahead. But if you don't fancy spending $50 or however much they are, you still have the option to pay.

I am in full support of Primals being added in-game; gives an actual incentive for Dungeoneering to be reworked to fix this, opens up more gear possibilities for those looking to expand, gives players another thing to grind for instead of afking at home and can also add a new section for Collection Log hunters to further increase longevity.

You can buy donator scrolls with ingame cash? It just take longer to get.

@nh chaotic That doesn't help ironmen, Currently only the primal spear is obtainable for ironmen as we restrict what irons can donate for. The idea to bring the weapons into dungeoneering is to allow primals to be earned by anybody, mains can still buy the primal during summer event / through the eco with GP and skip what could be an extensive grind.

Looks like you have made your choise already so can you fix alc option on primal weapons so we can even cover our loses littel,  because i dont see any primal will keep theyr current price anywhere close what it is now.

Currently primals have a high rate because of demand, maybe itll lower a little bit back to what they were worth beforehand. they will still have a huge value for being bis and to the many people that dont like to grind on the server.

Says to wealty to being alched. I see it will in mounth couple paying only alch price so i just can alc em my self now. I cant see price will go anywhere near what it is or was. No chance for that

Ideally they'd be balanced to the point not everyone is going to have BIS weapons. They'd still be incredibly rare. This shouldn't impact eco much, if at all.
